The CamAPS Liberty feature lets the user run CamAPS FX in a fully closed-loop mode, removing the need to bolus for meals and snacks.
With the introduction of the CamAPS Liberty feature, CamAPS FX offers the flexibility to manage meals using either a Hybrid Closed-Loop (CamAPS Liberty OFF) or a Fully Closed-Loop (CamAPS Liberty ON) mode.
CamAPS Liberty provides more pro-active meal-related automation beyond standard hybrid closed-loop operation by enabling fully closed-loop insulin delivery.
CamAPS Liberty is powered by a version of the CamAPS algorithm designed to work without the need to bolus for meals and snacks, while operating within the system’s defined safety controls.
Existing CamAPS FX features (“Boost”, “Ease-off”, “Add meal” modes and manual boluses) remain available when CamAPS Liberty is activated to ensure flexibility and allow individual optimisation. The CamAPS Liberty feature requires no additional settings and devices.
CamAPS Liberty can be activated by switching the toggle in the "Settings" menu and confirming the selection.
When first activated, the user will be presented with a training video to help use this feature safely and effectively.
When CamAPS Liberty is active, a violet badge will be visible at the top of the home screen. You will also see violet shading on the landscape graph indicating the time periods when CamAPS Liberty was active.
